Team 79 has existed for 8 years. They currently have 70 students registered. Their main sponsors is Honeywell.

Their Mentors provide them with their labs to work in and help them with building the robot to fixing it during competitions. Their mentors have been with them for along time and they are grateful to every one of them every day. Several of their mentors are not honeywell engineers. Students on team 79 actively organize team meetings and fund raising efforts as well as split into subteams where students with certain specialties will work with that area of the robot. Their subteams include Chairman's, website, spirit, mechanical, software, manipulators, and drivers.
